Live and Let Die (1973)

'Live and let Die' is the eighth movie in James Bond franchise and Roger Moore plays agent 007 for the first time.

The movie starts with a British agent being killed during a parade in New Orleans. After several deaths of other agents, all while monitoring a dictator Dr. Kananga, Bond is sent to investigate.

He travels to New York where Kananga is staying. An attempt is made on Bonds life when he tries to reach a CIA agent Felix Leiter.

Bond changes track and instead follows the killers trail which leads him to big time thug Mr. Big. While threatening Bond Mr. Big consults his Tarot card expert Solitaire. Feeling that there is some link between Mr. Big and Dr. Kananga Bond travels to Kanangas island of San Monique.

He meets Solitaire and seduces her by setting up a deck of Lovers cards...

Agent Y's Opinion

This movie has a weak plot and tries to make up by introducing some interesting characters. This movie is recommended for those who like action in their movies without being critical of the plot. In fact, the most memorable piece of this movie is the title song 'Live and Let Die' by Paul McCartney (but I like the Guns'n'Roses version also)...
