Dec 5, Spy Story Contest Winners Chosen!

As I wrote a couple of days ago, we received over 200 entries to the contest, and I'm quite cross-eyed at reading them all. Yes, I've read them all, and I've been really enjoying reading them!

There obviously is much writing talent out there! Well done!

Some entries were just one line, others spanned 108 pages (although length wasn't a deciding factor). Most entries were actually quite good and a great number were excellent. You really gave me a hard time chosing.

The stories that I did chose really stood out for their originality. But I could've easily given out 25 prizes, so many great entries in my mailbox.

Anyway... the bottom line is that not everybody could win. Sorry.

Here are the winners (no real names shared, we're spies after all):

First prize (that cool Sphere Spy Watch):
- Agent Mary Go-Round - "Desk Jobs"

Second Prize (Spy Gear Spy Video Trakr):
- Agent Ketevan - "The Wrong Brother"

Third Prizes (3 Spy Strike Laser Dueling systems):
- Agent Sierra - "The Dangerous Truth"
- Agent Samuel - "When I grow up I want to be a spy"
- Agent Eesha - "The Mystery of the Pinched Pooch"
These were the greatest entries amongst a long list of wonderful stories.

To the winners: Congratulations.

And to those that didn't win: Even though you didn't win this time, I do consider you all winners... what great writing talents you posess!

Until next time...

Be safe,

Mister E.

P.S. All winners have been contacted (if your name is on the list above, and you didn't see a message from me, contact me at the yourspystory e-mail address you sent the story to).

Nov 30, Winners Spy Contest not Decided Yet

Today I have sent a message to all contestants to the spy story contest, stating that I won't be able to name the winners today.

THE CONTESTANTS DID GREAT! BUT...
I AM OVERWHELMED.

When I started the spy story contest, I didn't expect to get over 200 entries. Spy boys and spy girls and even an entire spy class entered their stories, and quite excellent stories too!

Wow, it makes me SO PROUD to see the talent they all have shown. I gave them a MISSION, and these agents came through with FLYING COLORS!

But the fact is, that I'm not even half way through all the stories... so there's NO WAY that I can make the deadline of December 1, 2011. Because that's tomorrow.

I don't want to rush it. As it is clear to me, that you didn't rush writing them. For this reason, I have decided to give myself a bit more time.

Next Sunday, December 4, 2011, I will announce the winners. Not today, sorry.

MISSION NOT ACCOMPLISHED... YET.

Jun 20, Q's Gadget of the Week: Video Glasses

This is so coooool, it has to be seen to be believed.

What if you could wear glasses, and you could see video... as if you were watching a 62" big screen. And in full 3D?

With this VUZIX iWear AV920 you can watch surveillance video's (or any other video or game console screen) on a (virtual) big screen, simply by popping up these lightweight glasses.

Even better, if the video source offers 3d, you can see it in true 3d. Mr. E loves this!
